Would you please help me understand why Libraries have been allowed to become so noisy?When I have asked our librarian this question she said allowing people to talk makes the library a more friendly and inviting place. Helloooooo, isnt that what cafes, restaurants, park,....? Louder than The Parents Links Centre (Place for kids 0-6yrs to play,...)
It's a great little library, but it's very hard to find a time when it is quiet (which is what most people look for in a library). All the computers are always taken by children who are playing games. These children are usually yelling among each other, making concentration/reading near impossible. The staff never seem to want to ask the children to be quiet even when the noise level is beyond excessive. If common library courtesies could be followed, I would give this library 5 stars. In the state this library is in on a daily basis, I'd rather work at home.
